Instructor Bio
Fern Gookin, LEED AP, is the Director of Sustainability for Revolution Recovery. Her company recycles on average 1,500 tons/day of construction, manufacturing, commercial, and residential waste throughout the Delaware and southeastern Pennsylvania. Fern is also the co-founder and Director of RAIR (Recycled Artist in Residency). Her non-profit's mission is to challenge the perception of our waste culture by providing a unique platform for artists at the intersection of art and industry. Fern dedication to Sustainability does not stop there, she is also a past President of the Philadelphia Green Building Council (now called Green Building United). Fern has a BS in Architecture from the University of Maryland and an MS in Sustainable Design from Thomas Jefferson University.
