So many people don’t appreciate the difference between creating a Financial Plan and doing Financial Planning. It’s so much more than just being a noun vs being a verb!

A financial plan is a document, a single point-in-time document. Financial planning is an ongoing process that changes dramatically over time.  A standalone financial plan looks completely different for a new grad than it does for somebody approaching past retirement, and again past retirement.
